In the USA CD-i publishing it was mentioned that Jurassic Park Interactive was going to be released on CD-i in 1994. That's until now the only mentioning of this title on CD-i, but it's again a sign how many titles have in one way or another a small link to CD-i, it marked the potential Philips had with the format and if sales were higher, a lot more CD-i projects were pushed to market. We're afraid that with announcements like this Philips tried to trigger the CD-i market potential and it may well be these kind of lists were nothing more than a plan, a talk with developers, a pitch to see the response of the public? Who can tell, just with announcements like The Lion King on CD-i and the interactive Star Trek movie: Many CD-i projects started as a plan but never materialized, but who knows what we will find in the future...
Our contact mentioned this was an idea by Philips POV but they didn't have the rights of Jurassic Park. Thanks to the success of Thunder in Paradise, Philips POV was pitching more ideas with other brands, and apparently Jurassic Park was high on the list. At a later point in time, Philips POV announced an interactive movie of Star Trek, another project that never materialized. By the time they finished Thunder, they were going independent as Mass Media anyway...
