Philips Media France released certain CD-i games in a big box version, comparable with its CD-ROM counterparts. In these editions, the jewelcase was also present inside with the same boxart, but it was put in a big carton box, sometimes with a bigger manual or just larger promotional images. We know that the following CD-i games were actually released in a big box version:
Chaos Control, International Tennis, Litil Divil, The joy of sex, Forbidden City, head crash triple pack, promotional copy of Burn:Cycle, Secret Mission, Voyeur, Merlin's Apprentice, Flashback and The 7th Guest
Pictures of these editions are pretty rare and we can't even find all of them.
It seems that Secret Mission was the final CD-i game that was released in a big box version in France, in 1996:
The first one has to be Voyeur, which was already released in early 1993. Note the Hot Stage label on the cover, which we now know was also French only.
