Here is a rare and unique view on a Fujitsu CD-i prototype player. Next to the recent findings of two Sony CD-i portable players (one standalone and a new portable version) we've recently found a Fujitsu CD-i player, thanks to CD-i member Gluon. It is mentioned in a japanese article about CD-i in 1990, presenting an overview of a japanese exhibition. There are kiosk systems in it, like this one:
Moreover it discusses unknown japanese CD-i titles, like this disc about flowers and sceneries:
The Fujitsu CD-i player is very interesting as I've never seen CD-i hardware (prototype or anything) from Fujitsu before. Of course, Fujitsu was part of the CD-i development team. For now I'm having a colleague translating the document to see what other details we can find, but I loved these pictures so much I wanted to share them with you.
