Newcomer The World of CD-i is online for a few months but really full of ambitions. It is formed by people who generally don't show up in the forefront, but it is built by CD-i member djkoelkast, who also runs the Retroforum.nl website. The strongest feature is without a doubt the CD-i catalogue. In the past years, there were more efforts in building a CD-i catalogue at Philipscdi.com and The Black Moon Project, but both are either falling apart or just focused on games. Of course CD-i is far more than just games and this is how The World of CD-i excels.
With several catagories including kids titles, professional titles, music CD-i's and other compatible formats like Photo CD and Video CD's, this place gives us a full reference database of what CD-i had to offer. We at Interactive Dreams love it. Further ambitions lies in the developing areas where they do their best to promote CD-i Homebrew and even new CD-i hardware developments. It's more than enough to wake up many people with an interest in CD-i, including Interactive Dreams, to stir the CD-i community, together with communication groups like the CD-i Appreciation Group and the Magnavox/Philips CD-i Collectors Club, to a new level. With that in mind, we believe CD-i will have a great year to come.
We welcome back The World of CD-i for sharing lots of CD-i info with us in the coming years!
