Thankfully CD-i member Omegalfa is spending quite some time on CD-i, resulting in new tests and trivia interesting for us to share. This time, he observes the following: "This is the first time it happens to me. I started my 450 PHILIPS branded, with DVC installed, and the main screen i've got was the 450 MAGNAVOX, but with some distortion at the bottom. When I turn it on, the player started directly with the storage screen. I do have a new timekeeper installed and the saved 7th guest game was there. When I clicked on exit, the MAGNAVOX screen appeared." It's not really clear what happened, but it triggers how the software was originally set up. CD-i member retrostuff comments: "I provoked that with power supply stress testing, on-off multiple times in a very short period. Probably causing power spikes. The NVRAM content was garbage and needed to be deleted with Low Level Test."

[Thanks for sharing, Omegalfa, Retrostuff]
