Very nice footage of Microcosm on CD-i was shared on the CD-i "Title Sampler Winter '94" disc, shared/dumped by Seventy7. Between 1993-1994, Microcosm was in development for the CD-i and the conversion was a inhouse job by Philips Freeland Studios in UK, the same team who converted The 7th Guest on CD-i and did a marvelous job. The developer of Microcosm on CD-i, Robin Keir, comments that this video is mostly showing the converted cutscenes in digital video but a few parts also show the beta engine on CD-i running the game. What we see here is actual CD-i footage, which could have been different. The prototype that we have does not run on a regular CD-i player as it needs extra RAM from the development system. Eventually, Microcosm was cancelled on CD-i as the team was not capable of running the game on the specified CD-i hardware. If CD-i was given more memory, Microcosm on CD-i could have been real.
