TwBurn about the progress of Nobelia: "I haven't really worked on it over the summer, due to other stuff going on. I recently restarted work on it, I'm currently redoing the graphics, going to a fixed/predetermined palette, not the mess I had so far. When it's done I'm still planning to do a physical release of it. I'm also working on some tools to convert the assets, when those are done (enough) I'll go back to coding. I redid the whole level format, so not everything that used to work works now. But I'm nearly back to where I was, with some more features. First three levels of the demo have been converted, still have to do the last one."
This year marks the release of a new original homebrew game on CD-i, made by TwBurn and going strong by the name 'Nobelia'. He released a first demo of earlier this year to gather feedback and think of the way forward. Now that he is expanding on his ideas and level design, there are now also enemies in the levels:
And finally he found a new program that he can use for a level editor; now only TwBurn needs to write a conversion tool and that will hopefully make it easier for him to make the levels!
[Thanks, TwBurn]
