Thanks to CD-i member Steep Haywire a new door opened to unique Japanese CD-i material thanks to a Japanese CD-i demo disc. On the disc we find a slideshow of interesting screens, including the top one from Golgo 13. It gives away the year of production: 1991. Below you see Cyber Soldier Sharaku and below that a first of a kind look at Mah-Jong on CD-i. Pretty exciting to see the first Japanese CD-i demo disc, being released in 1991 this does not feature any digital video, but it only shows static screens. Within the CD-i Community we still miss some important CD-i releases, like Golgo 13 and Mah-Jong. There is no footage available online, so these screens are pretty exclusive, next to the video which was uploaded by Seventy7 on youtube.
The disc also mentions a unique kids title that we do not know on CD-i, but appears to be a Japanese kids title:
The disc also gives away a look at F1 Grand Prix Databook, a reference title about the history of F1, exclusively released in Japan:
The screens below are pretty exclusive as we have never seen an in-game shot of Mah-Jong on CD-i:
These screens were all provided on this disc, preserved and played by CD-i member Seventy7:
