The final episodes of the first and only season of Thunder in Paradise was a combination of the video version and the interactive version. Both editions were shot at the same time. The M.A.J.O.R. and the Minor were partly filmed at theStreets of America, a themed land at Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World in Florida. The Island encouter was entirely shot at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, also a themed land in Walt Disney World, Florida, USA. Thunder in Paradise on CD-i was directed by Robert Weaver, the same guy who directed Voyeur 2 after this project (cancelled on CD-i) in 1996. According to UK CD-i Magazine, after seeing the pilot for Thunder, game director Robert Weaver pitched a story line to series producer Michael Berk. The footage for both the series episode and the game was filmed over 10–12 days using a 34-page linear script and a 134-page CD-I script, both written by Tom Greene.
