This interesting product design was made by the Belgian studio 'Petrus Productdesign' for Philips Consumer Electronics in the Nineties. CD-i member Patrick Selten found it in their portfolio. The details, like the controller port, give away this design was intended as a CD-i player. It's a design we've never seen for real, perhaps it was used in presentations only. Philips had more designs for CD-i that in the end were never used, most prominent is the version below which was used by Philips in official advertisements. However, the design above we've never seen in any documentation of promotional material.
