CD-i member Muh Mullet shared the pinout the CD-i splitter, so you can more easily create your own one. Muh Mullet: "I used a multimeter on one of my splitter cables and made an I/O splitter cable for a buddy as an experiment. I had to get out the crayons to draw this, Tried it briefly with Jeopardy on a spare 450 model, seems to work o.k." All you need to build this is: -small project box, -2x Female mini Din 8, -1x Male mini Din 8, -some cable with at least 7 wires. There is also en excellent guide on The World of CD-i who can help you building your own CD-i splitter, as the CD-i splitters are getting more rare and expensive to come by. You can use the CD-i splitter to play two-player games on CD-i, we've made an overview of the compatible CD-i games.
