The Philips CD-i joypad, the first one, is exactly the same product as the PC Gravis gamepad that was put on the market by Gravis around the same time. In fact, Philips licensed the model to adapt it for CD-i. This has some benefits now as the Gravis PC gamepad comes in a variety of colours. You can buy the Gravis PC gamepad online and take out the case and the buttons and swap them with your CD-i joypad. In this way, you can easily pimp your CD-i joypad and get a SNES style colour scheme:
