The Futuropolis CD-i was an initiative of the Dutch libraries and executed by Explainer Interactive in 1994; It gives a forecast on how the libraries of the future would look like. The timeframe is interesting as this was right before the internet really started. In the videos on it they explain that 'in the future' we will be able to talk to televisions, for example. IOt also gives an outlook how we will deal with energy, water infrastructure,  and the way we deal with information. CD-i member Koemo1 now has shared a copy, so we can all see it. From the disc: " Visit Futuropolis, Discover the Netherlands of the near future! Explore a world that will be strange yet familiar to you. Strange because it doesn’t exist yet, known because you can see it getting closer by the day. That is Futuropolis. Visit it! Wander through futuristic sketches by the Das brothers. Be surprised and amazed by strange effects and crazy views. Drive modern cars, fly supersonic planes, shop in tomorrow’s supermarket. In short: visit Futuropolis!"

Interesting detail is that the CD cover mentions it was 'not made in the Republic of Drenthe'... The vision on this disc was developed thanks to the following companies: Albert Heijn, Gasunie, Mercedes Benz, Nederlandse Spoorwegen, Unie van Waterschappen, Bibliotheek Rotterdam, Schiphol., VSB Bank'

 [Thanks, Koemo1]
