Another interesting detail: This 'Encyclopaedia Hachette has a Belgian catalogue number (8180041) - The French Hachette editions are named 'Dictionnaire Hachette Multimedia'. Is this about the same? Or is it something else?We don't see often Belgian catalogue numbers in the CD-i catalogue. The french exclusive Hachette encyclopedia was released in a CD-ROM
style box, holding a large sized manual and the disc itself. It was
another product possible thanks to the subsidy program of Club
d'Investissement Media. It is a pity that this disc is french only, as
it holds a lot of interesting information and the presentation is
excellent, especially in the 'Digital Video' edition. The content is
very general although history sections seems to be more related to what
was important to the french culture. It is what makes these
encyclopedias interesting and even to us: It is easy to notice this was a
high valued CD-i disc, production values are high and the packaging
taken with care.
CD-i member Seventy7 confirms that the Belgian 8180041 contents match the 812 0097 retail edition, which is the regular French 'Dictionnaire Hachette Multimedia' (No Digital Video, so the first version).
[Thanks, Seventy Seven]
