CD-i member Blazers about  USA jewelcase releases: "At least 4 of the longbox releases do not appear to have had a later reissue in the jewel-case plus slipcover format: ACT College Search 92, Anne Willan Presents the Food of France, Flowers of Robert Mapplethorpe, and CDi Music Book Vol. 1. Now, the possibility can't be ruled out, so unless a trove of internal production documents surfaces, we have to survey collectors and keep an eye out. It should also be noted that if those 4, only Anne Willan did get an overseas release in the sideways Eurocase format. It's slightly more common than the US version. It should also be noted that not every US jewel case release had a slipcover: some first and third party titles such as Pyramid Adventure, the AIMS titles, the two Blues titles, etc- they never had any outer sleeve. Which I consider to be a hood thing, as those sleeves can be a collectors nightmare! I went through my list and there's actually quite a few longbox releases for which I cannot verify any later jewel case and slipcover US re-releases. In addition to the above, they are:

  • Harvest of the Sun
  • Girl's Club
  • David and Goliath
  • Story of Samson
  • Moses (both)
  • Dark Fables of Aesop
  • More Dark Fables of Aesop
  • Revolution in Color
  • Amparo Museum
  • Gardening by Choice
  • Art of the Czars
  • Prelude

I'm inclined to think that several others, mostly the art and music titles, also never saw any US jewel case re-release but I have no data. The rarest US jewel-case re-release that I have seen is one for Draw 50. I've only seen it once, and it was a surprise to see it."

[Thanks, Blazers]
