One of the first promotional CD-i's in Europe was this 'Title Sampler' disc which was released in 1992. In fact in 1992, no promotion via full motion video was possible as the Digital Video Cartridge was not available yet (it was released in 1993). This disc is presented in four languages: English, French, German and Dutch. (both in text as in speech). Activate the program. After the Philips bumper has played, you have thirty (30) seconds in witch to choose a language.
If a language is not chosen, the “Introduction to CD-i” will be played in English by default. Once the introduction has played, the disc will go into the silent attractor mode, inviting the consumer to “Push a button and try CD-i”.
