While re-releasing the first generation of CD-i titles in the standard audio-cd jewelcase format, sometimes the disc design was changed as well

Original CD-i releases before 1993 were published in a grey longbox (USA) or vertical opened long jewelcase (Europe) - both specifically designed for CD-i. In 1993, with the introduction of Digital Video and increasing required shelf space due to the promising movies on CD-i, Philips straightened the layout of CD-i releases to one single format: A standard jewelcase as was used in the Audio CD format. As far as we know, most older CD-i releases were reprinted to the newer format, although we are quite sure that a couple of the older USA releases never got a reprint. However, when designing the new boxart, Philips sometimes even adjusted the layout of the disc, while this was not necessary at all. CD-i member Walter Zeick showed us a couple of chnaged he observed while expanding his CD-i collection:
