CD-i was also interesting for tourism: Local Philips Media offices created the series 'Portrait of a City' with specific editions that we know of Lisboa, the capital of Portugal and Venice, a well-known city in Italy. Like Philips did with other 'series' in the field of music, art and children stories, they tried to have software coverage in a broad range of subjects. This specific line-up is about tourism and there are probably more cities or places that have a specific CD-i title. They are base-case titles and yet published in a vertical long jewelcase, the type of jewelcase that Philips used between 1992-1993 in Europe. After that, they switched to normal jewelcase formats. We've recently seen material of the Lisboa title and while the content might be a little outdated, it also gives a nice time-capture of how they approached this in 1993. Certainly some of the more rare CD-i titles by now, as they are only released in a limited range in specific european countries.
