In a hidden corner of the internet, many years back we at Black Moon digitized a couple official test guides originating from the Philips Test Centre in Hasselt, Belgium as well as a couple that were used at the Philips CD-i hotline at the time. Philips offered help via telephone to guide consumers through their CD-i games, and the people working here were using printed walkthroughs to find the tips that people needed. Also during testing, these guides were used by testers to quickly browse through the game. Sometimes, these guides pop up. We digitized a couple here, but CD-i member Devin showed us some more in the past, I'm afraid these won't surface anytime soon. However, today CD-i member AlexBogues showed us these pictures of quite a number of similar looking test guides and reference guides, all of games we don't have yet digitized. This is a rare and very interesting find! These guides will contain a guide, tips and sometimes a FAQ or cheat codes to go through the game. The guides were not intended for consumers.
