Yesterday we showed you the AEI CD-i 220 player, a licensed Philips CD-i 220 model branded Prodisc and AEI. AEI was a company active in background music, and it used CD-i as a base for its CD-BGM technology, as CD-BGM was fully compatible on every CD-i player. After CD-i was over, AEI continued to use CD-i technology in their own Prodisc players, like this Prodisc DS from 2002.
CD-i member Patrick Selten explains it from a rare flyer: "ProDisc DS is a player for both CD-i and standard CDs. With the latest CD-i technology, you get "High Quality Sound" for many years in continuous operation. Music for commercial use ProDisc DS, player for AEI-Music, professional music on CD-i, with full 4 hours of playing time per disc. The best music for your business.
You rent music that suits yours business, music that creates it correct atmosphere and strengthens the profile of your company. Music without talk and without advertising. Complete customer radio system ProDisc DS has a built-in amplifier, which can power 15 speakers, as well input for microphone, if exclamation via the speakers are desired.
Additional amplifiers can be reconnected more speakers are needed.
