Rare CD-i Chronicles #53 - Bradley Fighting Vehicle Operation Desert Storm Sustainment Training (ProSoft, PMPRO Inc, US Army Infantry School, 1997)

In 2009 we discovered an unknown professional CD-i title in the catalogue of PMPRO, and it was the first time we ever saw a picture of it. It was a training disc for soldiers about the Bradley Fighting Vehicles in the US Army. Thanks to the combined efforts of Blazers (who owns the disc), Seventy7 (who takes care of the preservation in Redump and Archive.org) and The World of CD-i (who played it) some more info surfaced. It is interesting that the disc boxart does not show a CD-i logo at all, it not even mentions this is a CD-i disc. Only the disc itself shows a CD-i logo.

The disc shows a menu with all kinds of explanation about the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, how to operate the various weapons and ammo and where to locate the different functions. It also offers a trivia test. CD-i member Omegalfa about this trivia test: "The soldier have to enter his Security Social Number (SSN) and he will answer 20 questions. After the test done, you have to exit the game and access the Storage of your CD-i player to check your results." - which is actually a nice feature.

[Thanks & credits: Blazers and supported by Seventy7 and Omegalfa]
