Third party publisher World of Wonders released a couple of Video CD's and CD-i's in 1994-1995. These were advertised in CD-i Magazine in USA and sold via specific CD-i dealers or via World of Wonders. These were also available in UK, but I've never seen these in stores in The Netherlands. It is pretty rare to see CD-i titles that were not published by Philips Media. The vast majority of CD-i titles (especially around 1994) were catalogues by Philips, but World of Wonders was a notable exception. Most titles were focused on geography and nature. CD-i member Blazers: "Discover Sport Fishing was one of the tougher North American releases to try and find nowadays. It's both a US and Canadian release. You had to buy it from the developer, World of Wonders (not to be confused with Worlds of Wonder) or from a few CDi dealers. The advertisement is from a US CDi magazine issue"
Let's sum up which titles are released by World of Wonders on CD-i:
- Discover Sports Fishing: Northern Edition
- Destination Great Britain (this was a 4-disc CD-i set covering areas including 'England's West Country', 'Central and Northern England', 'London and Southern England' and 'Wales')
- Charting a New World
- Earth: A Multimedia Guide to the Changing Environment
- The Best of John Beslushi
- Tropical Rainforest (we haven't seen a physical copy yet, and this TBA release might be referring to 'Our Environment: The Changing Ecosphere' which itself sounds similar to the 'Earth' disc (see above). We have to track down a physical copy for this)
