In this poster from the 'Philips Invents for You' era, they highlight the potential of CD-i, DCC, VHS Turbo Drive and one of the early widescreen CRT screens

This French Philips poster combines the highlights of Philips in its Audio/Video domain of the early Nineties. As it uses the slogan 'Philips Invents for You' this poster was printed before 1993, as that's when Philips started the new campaign 'Let's Make Things Better'. In this poster, Philips highlights the products it was highly investing in: DCC, the digital Cassette and the follow-up of the classical tape. CD-i of course, but also its VHS Turbo Drive technology and on top of that the wide screen TV, which was a new thing in the early Nineties as most TV's still had the classic 4:3 ratio. CD-i was also, in some way, offering limited 16:9 support, on specific players, but it was not native and far from perfect.
