CD-i member 'Videogame Obsession' bought this CD-i player exactly 30 years ago, which means CD-i celebrates its 30th birthday today

While the Philips archive tells us Philips CD-i was officially launched in USA on October 15, 1991, this is still remarkable: CD-i member 'Videogames Obsession' bought this CD-i player exactly 30 years ago, which means CD-i celebrates its 30th birthday today. Exactly one year ago he explained: "I purchased the Philips CD-i (910 machine) 29 years ago today. 12/02/1990. It was the demo kiosk from a local Lechmere store during their scratch & dent sale. They had it listed as a stereo receiver so it was already $400 cheaper than the MSRP ($1000)." 

So today marks at least a special moment that CD-i was in some form for sale exactly 30 years ago. The receipt clearly states the date, no doubt about that.
