Yesterday we heard the news that Alex Trebek passed away at the age of 80. Alex has a long track record in the entertainment industry. He was the presenter of the USA show Jeopardy for 36 years, between 1984 until this very year 2020. In all those years there were various digital adaptions of Jeopardy on various console formats. In 1995, Accent Media Productions even made a CD-i version with Alex Trebek starring as presenter. "We will always remember Alex Trebek in this digitized (grainy) CD-i video explaining how to use the system's controller. I can’t think of a person whose likeness has been on more video games across more consoles than Alex Trebek. From 1992-2012, he’s been on the cover of Jeopardy games released 13 different platforms: Snes, N64, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Sega GameGear, CD-i, Ps1-3, Xbox 360, DS, Wii and even Wii U."The CD-i version, by the way, is exclusive to the CD-i platform and it is not a converted version of a different platform.
Alex Trebek, we hope you rest in peace.
