Ernest Adams programmed and collaborated on the design of Third Degree, a CD-I multi-player party game for adults. Right now The World of CD-i has an interview online with him (recommended!)

He created optical disk layout mechanisms with multiple interleaved audio tracks, thus minimizing seek times. One of the most interesting pieces of CD-i software comes in his pioneering in the use of "name insertion" into playing audio, permitting game hosts to call players by name — over 350 names were recorded, with four variant pronunciations per name. In Max Magic, you type in your name and Max would be able to spell it for you and call you by name in his various tricks (=awesome)
