Leaking capacitors is a well known issue with faulty CD-i players - In this article the audio signal of the Digital Video Cartridge is missing

CD-i member 'Deev Eedeez' has a broken DVC cartridge (a 22ER9141/20): There's no audio when playing VideoCD’s on his CD-i players using that DVC. The problem moves with the DVC when exchanged into another CD-i player (He has a CDi-220/20 and a CDi-210/20). Does this sound familiar to anyone and what was the exact culprit? (probably on the DVC itself, because the video is decoded properly, just the audio is missing, so must be in the digital or analog audio part). (on the picture the actual PCB, taken out of its metal casing) - A good tip comes from the community, where it is suggested to change the electrolithic capacitors on the board. These are indicated in the audio area here:

Leaking capacitors is a common problem and can be often a solution to various CD-i problems. These capacitors are all over 20/25 years old and when they start leaking, their functions drop or stop working. Always have a close inspection to the capacitors when opening/repairing your CD-i players.
