We enjoy all the efforts of fanart in which CD-i has a role and it is always more than we thought before. In our timeline the efforts of Jimmy D show a recreation of the art-style of the Zelda CD-i titles, especially the backgrounds of Zelda: Wand of Gamelon and Link: Faces of Evil are inspirational. The digitized art is in its pixeled form pretty hard to recreate, but Jimmy does a nice job to recreate this pixelart thanks to a online Bob Ross tutorial.
Jimmy: "I followed along a Bob Ross tutorial in GIMP with a small image size using only the pencil tool and colors from the Zelda CD-i backgrounds. Although it didn't turn out quite like I'd hoped, I still kinda like it. Although the water's pretty awful looking. I was just testing to see if I could make some kinda background that looked similar to the actual backgrounds from the CD-i games. I think this might actually work if I just paint it at a much bigger size using more than just the pencil tool and then scale the image way down. Just adding a few effects and increasing the color and contrast makes it look 100 times better."
