Interesting find by Arethius Rgc: This is an exclusive French CD-i demo of Chaos Control. The boxart is different than what we know of the CD-i version, but the bottom line clearly states this is also about CD-i. CD-i member Arethius Rgc revealed that this is a non-playable version, in fact it is a video-reel only about Chaos Control. Philips did release more demos, including a Burn:Cycle version and also playable CD-i games like the Micro Machines demo which was a disc bundled with CD-i Magazine, and SPC Vision created a Bundle Disc with demos of their CD-i games collected on it, distributed by Free Record Shop, a dutch media entertainment store. This CD-i demo was a French exclusive: The Philips Media divisions of each country were operating a bit independent on a certain level, so a high level of local differences were possible. It's interesting to see that apparently there are CD-i demo's that were only released on a local level, while these games were released globally. Who knows if there are more CD-i demo's like this?
